Trina Solar, a Chinese solar products maker, will construct a more than one million square foot photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing facility in Wilmer. The company is investing over $200 million in property and equipment for the project. When completed, the facility will provide 1,500 local jobs and produce 5 GW of modules annually starting 2024. These Vertex modules are innovative with large power output due to their 210mm large size wafer technology.
Since its founding 26 years ago Trina Solar has shipped more than 150GW of modules across 100 countries and regions globally generating green power for customers worldwide. In June Canadian Solar announced plans to build a $250 million plant nearby Mesquite that would manufacture solar photovoltaic modules at an annual rate of 5 GW capacity each year as well..
