H-E-B has opened a new eCommerce fulfillment center (eFC) in Katy, Texas. At more than 100,000 square feet in size, it is the largest eCommerce facility for the company to date and twice as large as previous centers. The Katy eFC will support H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery orders across Houston area.
The facility employs over 300 part-time and full time H-E – B Partners who are part of their expanding eCommerce team. With these centers, customers benefit from increased capacity and product availability while store shoppers experience less aisle congestion due to automation used throughout the order process that boosts productivity at each location . Currently available at 270 stores across Texas with more on the way , this marks H – E – B ‘s seventh fulfillment center since 2018 .
