Affordable Housing Now Available in College Park

Cruz Development Corporation, in partnership with Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc., is set to begin construction on a 51-unit low-income housing project called Branchville Crossing in College Park, Maryland. The four-story building will offer one-bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom units with roughly half reserved for individuals and families earning 30% or less of the area median income (AMI). Fifteen units will be available at 60% of AMI while five units are designed to accommodate tenants with accessibility or sensory adaptation requirements.

Project Manager Armond McCoy from Cruz Development states “Our goal is to elevate and uplift these future residents and their neighborhood by providing an affordable multifamily building that looks virtually indistinguishable from a market rate offering”. In addition they aim for LEED Gold certification as part of this project.

The new affordable housing development coming soon to College Park promises improved living conditions for its future residents as well as the surrounding community.
