Leander, Austin’s northernmost suburb, is looking to become more than just a bedroom community. Northline and St. John Properties are teaming up on a 120,000 square foot office building that will include 15,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space with construction expected to start early next year and wrap up in the first half of 2025. According to the Austin Business Journal , developers have plans for 5 million square feet of office space, retail outlets, residential units as well as hotel accommodations and civic spaces along with a signature park between U.S Highway 183 & 183 toll road – an investment likely exceeding $1 billion over the next decade or so due to rising construction costs. This project marks an exciting step forward for Leander’s development into something much more than just another bedroom community!
