Elizabeth Crowley Appointed President and CEO of Building Trades Employers Association – Get the Facts Here!

Elizabeth Crowley has been appointed as the new President and CEO of the Building Trades Employers Association (BTEA), making her the first woman to lead New York’s largest contractor association.

Crowley expressed, “I am honored to be entrusted with this role at BTEA and look forward to working with member companies in order to advance construction industry initiatives that benefit people in our communities, drive innovation, and create a more sustainable and resilient skyline built by a diverse union workforce.” 
During her time on the New York City Council, Crowley championed for record funding for school construction projects while also passing resolutions that strengthened safety standards within the industry as well as expanding opportunities for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) & Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs). She also provided support towards Nontraditional Employment programs specifically designed for women.
