LG Group to Repurpose Former Walgreens Deerfield Location

LG Group, a Chicago-based integrated development company, is planning to repurpose the former Walgreens Boots Alliance office buildings at 1411-1435 Lake Cook Road in Deerfield. The 37.5-acre site includes five empty office spaces totaling more than 575,000 square feet and is contingent upon the village of Deerfield’s approval for its planned redevelopment. This property is separate from Walgreens’ existing headquarters which lies just west of it on Wilmot Road; earlier this year Walgreens disclosed that it plans to sell off roughly two-thirds of its campus and consolidate workers into the remaining portion. Crain’s Chicago Business reported on LG’s plans for this vacant office property with hopes that they will create a large mixed use complex with entertainment and retail uses in Deerfield suburbia.
