REBNY will join the MIPIM NY Awards jury for its first edition and contribute to the content development for the event program
New York, NY., July 10, 2023 – MIPIM NY, the two-day event organized in partnership with MetaProp, bringing together key players to accelerate and empower change towards a more sustainable, user-centric, and profitable real estate in New York, announced today its strategic partnership with the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the city’s leading real estate trade association, for the inaugural event.
With a shared vision of fostering collaboration and innovation within the real estate industry, this partnership will leverage the strengths of the two organizations to shape the event. As a strategic partner, REBNY will actively contribute to developing content for the program and join the esteemed jury for the MIPIM Awards in NY.

Building on the success of the distinguished MIPIM Awards in Cannes, the MIPIM NY Awards will recognize exceptional projects in various categories across New York, the Americas and internationally.
REBNY Chief Operating Officer, Sandhya Espitia, a global organizational transformation executive with 18 years of experience leading diverse teams, strategy, cross-functional operations, innovation and execution quality, will represent REBNY on the jury for the awards.

As part of the organization’s contributions to the event program, REBNY is curating a discussion to be led by David S. Rose, REBNY Venture Capital Committee Chair, Inc. 500 CEO, serial entrepreneur and a best-selling author, along with other experts at the forefront of technology and real estate. The panel titled, Artificial Intelligence and Real Estate: The Next Frontier, will discuss one of the most intriguing topics currently within each industry: the adoption and potential of Artificial Intelligence applications for building management, acquisitions and other endeavors in the business of real estate.
“There is a fast-growing suite of applications utilizing AI in real estate,” said Rose. “We plan to bring together experts and entrepreneurs in technology and real estate to discuss vendors and practices worth investment for owners, brokers and managers, and where the conversation on AI and real estate may go in the coming years.”

As announced in March, MIPIM NY’s focus has shifted beyond innovation and PropTech and will tackle the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities for real estate today. The event will bring together owners, occupiers, developers, investors, political leaders, and technology companies to discuss topics surrounding net zero, affordable housing, retrofitting, and repurposing offices, conversions, and ESG investment, among others. REBNY joins Urban Land Institute (ULI) as a strategic partner.
