Billionaire in Scottsdale Plans $1 Billion Mixed-Use Development

George Kurtz, the founder of CrowdStrike, is used to thinking big. He recently acquired 28 acres of a shuttered amusement park in Scottsdale for $55 million with plans to create a “transformational, sustainable mixed-use campus” called The Parque. A site plan submitted to the City of Scottsdale in late May proposes a 2 million-square-foot project that includes more than 1,200 residential units through multifamily housing and condominiums; 100,000 square feet for an office building; 30k+ square feet for restaurants; 25k+ square feet for retail space; 223 key five star hotel and 92.5k flexible space area as well as 2 acre open Central Park at its center – described as the focal point of The Parque.

The development team consisting George Kurtz and David Megdal are expecting over $1 billion investment into this project while Nelsen Partners have been tasked with being its architect .
