Katy Lagoon Community Begins $12M Amenity Project Construction

Starwood Land has begun construction on a new community benefit in the 2,300-acre Katy master-planned community of Sunterra. Known as “The Retreat,” this $12 million amenity village will feature a resort-style pool, lazy river, splash pad, tennis courts and clubhouse with a fitness center, meeting rooms and event spaces.
John Brian from Starwood commented that The Retreat will provide an enjoyable environment for friends and family to relax together while offering something for everyone – both active or passive recreation.
Designed by KGA DeForest Design , The Retreat is set to open in late 2024 as the first of two amenity villages within Sunterra; the second being Sol Club which features Crystal Lagoon at an estimated cost of $21 million expected to open in 2025.
