Battery maker Form Energy has leased nearly 100,000 square feet of space at 200 Inner Belt Road in East Somerville, reported by Boston Business Journal. The lease agreement is for three years and the company plans to move its employees to the new location this fall. Additionally, Form Energy also intends to extend their current space at 30 Dane St., part of the Somernova complex, for four more years.
Form Energy seeks to have all Massachusetts employees under one roof or on a single campus within a few years’ time. Known for their cost-effective iron-air battery technology, they raised $450 million last year and are constructing their first manufacturing plant in West Virginia with over 220 personnel hired during that same period.
