Developing a Hotel Along the Seattle Monorail Route: What Are the Plans?

Da Li Development USA has been actively buying and selling properties along Fifth Avenue North, recently adding another to its portfolio with the purchase of the former Fat City garage property located on Seattle Monorail route. According to Puget Sound Business Journal, Da Li Properties LLC paid $9.1 million for nearly one-third acre that is passed over by Seattle Monorail.

Vice President of Development at Da Li Kevin Hsieh stated that hotel could be 125 feet tall and offer rooftop views of Seattle Center which houses iconic Needle as well as sports and entertainment venues such as Climate Pledge Arena. To bring this vision into reality, Da Li is currently working in collaboration with Weber Thompson architecture company on early concepts. Allgreen Holding Limited LLC sold the Fat City property to Da Li; XingMing Chen was listed as governor of said company which acquired it six years ago for $8.1 million .
