Melanie Rocca, Former City Official, Joins BFC as Chief Operating Officer

BFC Partners has appointed Melanie E. La Rocca as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, she will be responsible for overseeing the workflow, strategy and organization of essential business processes at the full-service development firm. Based in BFC’s Brooklyn office, La Rocca will collaborate with Principals Don Capoccia, Joseph Ferrara, Win Wharton and Brandon Baron.

La Rocca brings a wealth of experience to her new position from her prior roles as founding Chief Efficiency Officer for the City of New York; Commissioner at NYC Department of Buildings; and Vice President Development & External Affairs at NYC School Construction Authority.  Don Capoccia – Managing Principal for BFC Partners – expressed his confidence in La Rocca’s abilities: “We are confident that she is going to be a great addition to the BFC family.”
