RentCafe recently conducted a survey that revealed Plano ranks second in the nation for qualities renters are looking for. The town earned high scores when it comes to local economy, where it placed second, and quality of life, where it was sixth.

The survey reported that Plano’s reputation for producing academic achievers makes it an ideal spot for families searching a city with excellent public schools as well as great air quality and plenty of high-end apartments (78.2%). It also has one of the highest job growth rates nationwide. Most renters have college degrees which is why they enjoy greater income than other cities.
#2 Local Economy

Job numbers in Plano rose 6% year-over-year – one of the highest job growth rates nationwide – due to businesses seeking out its highly educated population; 58% own at least one college degree or higher .

#6 Quality Of Life

Renters here have access to some of the best public schools in America plus many apartments located near jobs, shopping and entertainment (69% total stock). The town finished midpack on cost living index too making this city even more attractive!
