Texas Business Climate: Why It's the Best in the US

Texas has been ranked as the state with the best business climate for companies looking to relocate or expand, according to Business Facilities, a site selection trade publication. In their 19th annual ranking of more than 60 factors, Texas finished at the top with North Carolina, Virginia, Utah and Tennessee rounding out the first five.

In 2022 alone Texas attracted over 1,000 projects representing $44.75 billion in capital investment and creating more than 35 thousand jobs – foreign investment accounting for $16.3 billion of that total. Dallas-Fort Worth gained a variety of corporate headquarters last year from heavy equipment giant Caterpillar Inc., to manufacturer ATI Inc..

Texas also scored well due its diversity of industries; infrastructure; and “business-friendly regulatory and tax climate” which helped it lead Site Selection magazine’s list in new corporate facilities for an 11th consecutive year .
