H Mart, the nation’s largest Asian grocery chain, will begin construction in January 2021 on a 70,000-square foot Korean grocery store in Northwest Dallas. The $28 million project includes gutting the existing building at 2534 Royal Ln. and adding a second floor as office space with an expected completion date of December 2025.
The city has approved $3.5 million in incentives for the project which requires H Mart to operate at this location for at least 15 years. This supermarket chain typically includes banks, shoes departments, hair salons, gadget stores and food courts within its stores along with boba tea offerings making it a one-stop shopping experience for customers looking to purchase groceries or other items all under one roof.
H Mart already has nearby locations in Carollton and Plano; however this new Dallas location is just over 31 miles from downtown Fort Worth meaning midtown residents may have access to an even closer option than before! Founded back 1982 H Mart now operates nearly 100 locations throughout the United States providing customers with quality products since its inception almost 40 years ago
