The ownership group behind the Arizona Biltmore has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of the nearby Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix. The property is joining the Arizona Biltmore under ownership by Henderson Park in a joint venture with Western & Southern Financial Group and funds managed by Hamilton Lane, South Street Partners and Pyramid Global Hospitality. The Hormel family, which had owned the Wrigley Mansion for 34 years, sold the historic estate for $17 million.
As part of the transaction, Pyramid Global Hospitality will oversee operations at both the Wrigley Mansion and the Arizona Biltmore. This aligns the management of the two neighboring hospitality assets under a single operator while maintaining the joint venture ownership structure led by Henderson Park. The Wrigley Mansion has long been associated with the Arizona Biltmore, and this deal formally consolidates their ownership and operational oversight.
Henderson Park is already deeply invested in the Arizona Biltmore, having paid just over $700 million for the resort in 2024. The acquisition of the Wrigley Mansion builds on that investment by bringing an adjacent, historically linked property into the same ownership group. Pyramid Global Hospitality’s role in managing both properties is expected to create operational continuity across the local portfolio, though no specific plans for programming or repositioning were disclosed.
Perched atop a 100-foot knoll above the Arizona Biltmore, the Wrigley Mansion provides sweeping 360-degree views of the Valley and has been a recognizable hospitality and event venue for decades. William Wrigley Jr., who helped establish and owned the neighboring Arizona Biltmore, commissioned the Mansion in 1931 as a 50th wedding anniversary gift for his wife, Ada. Since then, the Arizona Biltmore and Wrigley Mansion have shared a nearly century-long connection as prominent Phoenix landmarks.
The Arizona Biltmore itself opened in 1929 and has undergone multiple ownership and capital investment cycles over its history. With this latest change, both properties now sit under the same institutional ownership structure and a single operating platform. Specific details on future capital improvements, branding strategies or integration of guest and event offerings between the two assets were not provided in the announcement.
