Genentech, part of the Roche Group, has officially opened the Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston in the Allston neighborhood of Boston. The life sciences facility spans 95,000 square feet and is designed to accommodate up to 500 people. Roche and Genentech have committed to a 10-year lease for the center, establishing a long-term presence within one of the city’s emerging research hubs.
The new facility serves as a key component of the Enterprise Research Campus, a nine-acre development taking shape in Allston. The campus is being developed by Tishman Speyer and Breakthrough Properties in partnership with the Harvard Allston Land Company. The Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston anchors the first phase of this broader project, positioning the campus as a significant node within the local life sciences ecosystem.
Roche leadership framed the opening as a strategic move to expand the company’s U.S. manufacturing and research and development footprint.
