Diversified Partners plans to break ground in two weeks on The Lakefront at Scottsdale, a redevelopment of a long-standing mixed-use property on the city’s waterfront. The project will reposition an aging complex into an approximately 100,000-square-foot, hospitality-focused destination that blends retail, dining, office space and public gathering areas. The site has been a recognizable presence along the Scottsdale waterfront and is now slated for a comprehensive overhaul aimed at modernizing its mix of uses.
The property was formerly home to The Charthouse, a restaurant that opened in 1984 and operated on the site for several decades before closing last year. Its closure cleared the way for Diversified Partners to move forward with a new concept that maintains the location’s focus on food and hospitality while expanding the range of uses on the site. The redevelopment is described as a major conversion of the existing mixed-use venture, rather than a ground-up development on a vacant parcel.
The Lakefront at Scottsdale is being repositioned as a hospitality-driven waterfront destination with a strong food-and-beverage component. Plans call for signature restaurants and extensive outdoor dining, along with boutique and experiential retail space that is intended to complement the project’s waterfront setting. The office component will be delivered as Class A space, and the overall plan incorporates public gathering areas designed to activate the site beyond traditional retail and office hours.
Forever Living Products, a longstanding tenant at the property, will remain in place within the upgraded office space, providing continuity through the redevelopment process. The retention of this tenant suggests that at least a portion of the existing office footprint will be modernized rather than replaced, even as the overall project undergoes a significant refresh. The combination of new restaurant concepts, updated retail and improved office space is expected to reshape how the site functions within the broader Scottsdale waterfront area.
At the groundbreaking event, Diversified Partners plans to announce three incoming food-and-beverage concepts that will anchor the project’s hospitality offering. La La Land Kind Cafe, V Modern Italian and SUSHISAMBA are slated to join The Lakefront at Scottsdale, adding a mix of café, modern Italian and sushi-driven dining. These operators will be among the first publicly named tenants at the redeveloped property, signaling a curated restaurant lineup as a central element of the project’s identity.
The groundbreaking is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at The Lakefront at Scottsdale, located at 7501 E. McCormick Parkway in Scottsdale, AZ 85258. The event will formally mark the start of construction activity on the waterfront site and serve as the platform for Diversified Partners to highlight the project’s repositioning strategy and initial tenant commitments.
