Chicago-based LG Group has introduced a new organizational structure and leadership change as it prepares for its next phase of growth in development and construction. The company has named Brett Carucci as chief operating officer and aligned its operations around two primary business platforms: integrated development and commercial general contracting.
Under the updated structure, LG Group plans to significantly scale activity through its integrated development platform. The company expects to launch more than $500 million in new development projects next year and to undertake an additional $100 million in work through its commercial general contracting business. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to position the firm for larger and more complex assignments across its core markets.
LG Group has already increased its headcount by 10% to support this strategy. Looking ahead, the company anticipates workforce growth of approximately 30% over the next year as its pipeline of development and construction work expands. The changes are intended to create clearer alignment between the firm’s service offerings and the needs of its development and construction clients.
Carucci brings more than 20 years of experience in construction, development and project delivery to his new role as COO. Before joining LG Group, he served as senior vice president of construction at Onni Group. His background also includes leadership positions with Power Construction, DDR Corp. and The Beck Group, giving him a broad perspective across development and construction platforms.
While LG Group is headquartered in Chicago, the firm is also targeting growth beyond its home market. The company is pursuing additional development and construction opportunities in major markets across the country, with a particular focus on areas where it has already established a track record. Outside Chicago, LG Group is concentrating on continued expansion in Nashville and Phoenix, where it has completed prior projects and sees ongoing potential for new assignments.
By pairing an integrated development platform with a commercial general contracting business, LG Group aims to support clients throughout the project lifecycle. The leadership change and organizational realignment are intended to position the company to capitalize on new development and construction opportunities in Chicago, Nashville, Phoenix and other major U.S. markets.
