Thompson Thrift is advancing plans for Avira at Silver Comet Trail, a 319-unit multifamily community planned for the Atlanta suburb of Powder Springs. The rental development is described as being under construction, with the first residents expected to begin moving in by October 2027.
The community is positioned at the southeast corner of Highway 278 and Isley Stamper Road, giving future residents direct access to a key corridor in Powder Springs. The location is intended to provide convenient connectivity to downtown Powder Springs, as well as to major retail centers, healthcare providers, and employment hubs throughout the broader Atlanta metropolitan area.
Avira at Silver Comet Trail is planned as a garden-style and midrise community with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes. The homes will be delivered in three- and four-story buildings, and the design program includes options for private patios, balconies, and ground-level yards, providing a range of outdoor access configurations across the unit mix.
The amenity package is expected to include a swimming pool and a fitness center as core offerings for residents. Shared outdoor spaces will feature landscaped courtyards, a pickleball court, and a dedicated dog park paired with a pet spa. These features are aimed at supporting both active lifestyles and pet-friendly living within the community.
Additional recreational and social elements are planned, including a basketball court and grilling areas that can be used for informal gatherings. Interior and semi-outdoor common spaces are set to incorporate coworking-focused suites, billiards, shuffleboard, and other lifestyle-oriented amenities intended to support remote work, socializing, and entertainment on site.
The development is being capitalized with equity from the Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development, LP. This equity commitment underpins the project's capital structure as construction progresses toward the projected initial move-in date in 2027. No additional financing details, project cost information, or specific lease-up milestones beyond the expected start of move-ins have been disclosed.
Avira at Silver Comet Trail adds a new multifamily option to Powder Springs with a full amenity set and a range of unit types. The project reflects Thompson Thrift's focus on multifamily communities in growing suburban locations connected to major metropolitan employment and retail nodes.
