Perry Ellis International has relocated its Nike Swim license operations within Portland, OR, shifting its swimwear offices from the Kerns neighborhood to Goose Hollow. The move keeps the company’s swimwear team in the city while placing it in a new location that aligns office and studio functions under one roof.
The company, which has held the license for Nike Swim since 2003, executed a long-term lease for 25,289 square feet of office and studio space at Lincoln Place in Portland’s Goose Hollow neighborhood. According to the Portland Business Journal, Perry Ellis’ 41 employees associated with its swimwear operations have already moved into the new premises, consolidating their day-to-day activities in the newly leased space.
Prior to the relocation, the swimwear operations offices were located at 1820 NE Glisan Street in Portland’s Kerns neighborhood. The change in address marks a shift from the former Eastside location to a site situated in a commercial corridor near Providence Park, positioning the team in a different part of the city while maintaining an urban setting.
Colliers handled representation on both sides of the lease transaction. Mike Holzgang, Brad Christiansen and Andy Stewart of Colliers represented Perry Ellis in negotiating the long-term lease at Lincoln Place. On the landlord side, Trevor Kafuory and Autumn Brice, also with Colliers, represented Schnitzer Properties in the agreement with the apparel company.
Schnitzer Properties is the owner of Lincoln Place and has held the property since 1988. The building’s location in a commercial corridor near Providence Park provides Perry Ellis’ swimwear operations with an office and studio environment that supports swimwear creation and marketing functions. The new office is dedicated to these creative and marketing activities tied to the Nike Swim licensed business, giving the team a defined base within Goose Hollow.
