PwC plans to shift its long-standing Los Angeles office presence from Downtown Los Angeles to Century City under a new long-term lease. The accounting and professional services firm has committed to a 15-year lease for approximately 150,000 square feet at 2121 Avenue of the Stars, a Century City office property associated with Irvine Company.
The move will relocate PwC from its current space at 601 South Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles, where the firm occupies about 114,000 square feet. The relocation is expected to take place in 2028, aligning with the expiration of PwC’s existing downtown lease.
PwC’s Los Angeles office managing partner, Andy Sofield, described the relocation as a strategic step focused on growth, connectivity, and the future of the firm’s business in the region. He noted that the company has continued to expand in the Los Angeles market and that the Century City location will provide additional space to better support its people, clients, and teams across the area.
The decision marks a significant change for PwC, which has maintained a presence in Downtown Los Angeles since the late 1990s. According to reporting referenced from the Los Angeles Times, the upcoming move is characterized as one of the more recent high-profile departures from the city’s traditional financial core.
The lease at 2121 Avenue of the Stars increases PwC’s local office footprint by more than 30,000 square feet compared with its current downtown location, reflecting an expansion in space alongside the geographic shift. The 15-year term underscores a long-duration commitment to Century City as the firm’s next Los Angeles office hub.
With the relocation timed to coincide with the end of its existing lease obligation at 601 South Figueroa Street, PwC is effectively repositioning its Los Angeles operations from a historic downtown base to a Westside office market. The move highlights Century City’s role as an alternative business district within the broader Los Angeles office landscape, particularly for professional services tenants seeking larger, modernized space in a different submarket.
