Lee & Associates Pacific Northwest has named Scott Hutchinson as its new president, marking a leadership transition for the regional commercial real estate brokerage. The appointment places Hutchinson at the helm of the firm’s Pacific Northwest platform as it continues to serve clients across Washington state.
Hutchinson joins Lee & Associates from Glacier Development Company and Schuchart Hutchinson, organizations where he serves as president. His background spans both commercial real estate and philanthropic work, and he is described as a well-regarded figure in the regional business community as well as in broader civic and charitable circles.
In his new position with Lee & Associates Pacific Northwest, Hutchinson will oversee the day-to-day management of the firm’s commercial brokerage operations. His responsibilities will extend to guiding the strategic growth of the platform, with a focus on expanding and supporting brokerage services for clients throughout Washington state.
The move represents a succession in leadership from Jim Bowles, who co-founded Lee & Associates Pacific Northwest and has served as president since the firm’s Seattle launch in 2017. Bowles has led the company’s regional build-out for nearly a decade, helping establish its presence in the Pacific Northwest office and broader commercial real estate market.
Bowles will transition into the role of co-founder and executive managing director. In this capacity, he will focus on strategic company initiatives and business development activities, supporting the firm’s longer-term growth and client-facing efforts while stepping back from day-to-day operational leadership.
A longtime commercial brokerage veteran, Bowles brings more than 40 years of leadership experience to his new role. Before co-founding Lee & Associates Pacific Northwest, he served as a regional manager at several major brokerage firms, including Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers, and CBRE. His continued involvement is expected to provide continuity as Hutchinson assumes operational leadership of the organization.
