CBRE Group has appointed Croft Young, an experienced investment banker, as its new Chief Investment Officer (CIO). MorganYoung will join the company in July and be based in NYC. He is tasked with leading CBRE’s M&A efforts to build on the company’s significant liquidity position.

Prior to his appointment at CBRE, Young served as managing director of Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group where he worked on transactions worth $175 billion including the sale of Industrial Properties Trust (IPT)to Prologis and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI)to Accor SA. He will join CBRE’s Global Executive Committee reporting directly to CEO Bob Sulentic upon commencement of employment.
