PA Hospitality is preparing to start construction on a new AC Hotel by Marriott at CityCentre Houston, adding another hospitality flag to the mixed-use destination. The hotel is planned for 10752 Town and Country Way and carries a reported project cost of $19 million. Design responsibilities for the new property have been awarded to DLR Group.
The AC Hotel by Marriott CityCentre Houston will expand the limited footprint of the AC brand in the local market. At present, the only AC-branded hotel in the city is the AC Hotel by Marriott Houston Downtown, so the CityCentre property will introduce a second option under the flag within Houston.
Within the CityCentre development itself, the future AC Hotel will become the second on-site lodging offering. It is set to join The Moran CityCentre, which is located at 800 Sorella Court. The addition of a second hotel indicates that CityCentre continues to evolve as a regional node for business, leisure, and mixed-use activity.
According to reporting cited from The Houston Business Journal, CityCentre has experienced a steady cadence of new projects in recent years. Last year, Midway achieved a construction milestone at CityCentre Six, topping out the 19-story tower at 903 Town and Country Blvd. The building, which totals approximately 320,000 square feet, originally broke ground in February 2024.
Midway has also been repositioning sites within the broader area. In 2022, the company demolished the vacant Four Points by Sheraton Houston West to clear the way for a new office-led project known as CityCentre Seven. Plans for CityCentre Seven call for a six-story office building totaling about 147,000 square feet. The program is expected to include roughly 120,000 square feet of office space and more than 27,000 square feet dedicated to retail and restaurant uses.
These recent and planned additions, including the AC Hotel by Marriott CityCentre Houston, CityCentre Six, and CityCentre Seven, point to continued reinvestment and densification within the CityCentre district. Collectively, they illustrate how the area is layering new hotel and office capacity onto an already established mixed-use framework, reinforcing its role as a significant commercial hub within Houston.
