Empire State Realty Trust, Inc. has signed two renewal leases and one expansion with Burlington Stores, Inc. and Nespresso at two of its Manhattan office buildings.
Burlington Stores added a full-floor, 35,629-square-foot office space and signed an early renewal for its current 170,763-square-foot space, bringing its total footprint to 206,392 square feet at 1400 Broadway. This marks Burlington’s fourth expansion with Empire State Realty Trust since its initial 35,182-square-foot lease in 2010.
Nespresso signed a renewal lease for its existing 41,835-square-foot space at 111 W. 33rd Street. The company first leased the space in 2018.
Alan Desino of Colliers represented Burlington. Justin Haber, Kyle Riker, and Emma Gill of JLL represented Nespresso. Empire State Realty Trust was represented in both transactions by Jordan Berger and Kerry Lavelle, along with Newmark’s Scott Klau, Erik Harris, and Neil Rubin.
The REIT also announced two retail renewals, signing TJ Maxx and JPMorgan Chase Bank for 46,437 and 21,683 square feet, respectively. Richard Skulnik of RIPCO represented TJ Maxx in its renewal at 250 W. 57th Street, while Michael O’Neill of Cushman & Wakefield represented Chase in its renewal at One Grand Central Place.
Empire State Realty Trust’s Fred C. Posniak and Alec Stone represented the property owner on both retail transactions.
