**Taft Family Ventures Unveils Charlotte Multifamily and BTR Community**
Taft Family Ventures has officially opened Adler Montford Park + Drexel Townes, a new multifamily and build-to-rent townhome development located at 1351 E. Woodlawn Road in Charlotte. The $65 million project features a total of 249 residential units, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as eight three-bedroom townhomes.
Rental rates for the apartments begin at $1,634 per month for studios, $1,888 for one-bedrooms, $2,900 for two-bedrooms, and $5,669 for three-bedroom units. Pricing for the townhomes has not yet been disclosed.
The development team included Taft Construction Group as the general contractor, Raleigh-based Cline Design Associates as the project architect, and Charlotte-based LandDesign as the civil engineering firm.
Taft Family Ventures purchased the 2.9-acre site in May 2019 for $8 million. The property previously included the former Melrose Place apartments along with four single-family residential lots on Drexel Place. Construction began in the spring of 2023.
