**Three Developers Compete for Riviera Beach Waterfront Project**
Riviera Beach officials are currently evaluating proposals from three developers—Forest Development, Sonnenblick Development, and Related Urban Development Group—for a prime mixed-use project on the city’s waterfront. All three firms have experience with previous developments in Riviera Beach and are now vying for the opportunity to transform a key 90-acre parcel located at 190 E. 13th Street.
The initiative is part of a broader effort by the Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) to revitalize the downtown core through a public-private partnership. The goal is to attract new office tenants, upscale retail establishments, and additional public parking to the area. The CRA intends to lease out the site under a ground lease arrangement.
Each developer’s proposal includes a combination of residential condominiums, hotel accommodations, office space, retail shops, and dining venues. These plans are designed to complement Phase I of the downtown waterfront redevelopment, which has already delivered a new event center and an enhanced marina featuring watersports facilities and 140 boat slips.
The winning bid is expected to significantly reshape and energize the city’s waterfront district, further positioning Riviera Beach as a premier coastal destination.
