April Housing, the affordable housing portfolio company of Blackstone Real Estate, has officially re-opened the West Virginia Park Apartments in Dallas, Texas, following extensive renovations to the 204-unit affordable housing community.
Originally constructed in 2004, the revitalized property now offers upgraded one-, two-, and three-bedroom townhome-style apartments, along with enhanced community amenities such as a renovated clubhouse and pool.
Key renovation highlights include:
– Updated kitchens and bathrooms outfitted with new fixtures, energy-efficient appliances, and upgraded lighting;
– Replacement of all hot water heaters and HVAC split systems with modern models;
– Upgraded shared spaces, including two redesigned playgrounds, improved pool and fitness facilities;
– Installation of rooftop solar panels to support energy efficiency initiatives.
April Housing is one of the nation’s largest owners and stewards of affordable housing. Since 2024, the company has preserved more than 3,000 affordable housing units nationwide. Through this ongoing preservation initiative, Blackstone Real Estate has invested over $255 million in capital improvements to enhance the living experience for residents across its portfolio.
