**H Mart to Open its Largest U.S. Location in Fremont**

Vestar announced that H Mart, the nation’s largest Asian supermarket chain, will open its largest U.S. store at the Pacific Commons Shopping Center in Fremont. This new flagship location will be the company’s biggest investment to date and will debut H Mart’s new multi-level prototype. Plans for the store include a food hall and dine-in restaurants. Construction is expected to begin in late 2026.

“This flagship H Mart further reinforces Pacific Commons as a leading retail destination in Northern California and its continued evolution into a true shopping, dining, and entertainment district,” said Rick Hearn, Vice President of Leasing for Vestar. “Together with our partners at Heitman and the City of Fremont, we are actively adapting to our consumers’ shopping preferences, focused on welcoming experiential, destination-driven concepts that energize the center and serve the broader community.”

Pacific Commons, which is owned by Heitman and managed by Phoenix-based Vestar, is home to more than 55 retailers and restaurants, including Target, Costco, T.J. Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, and Sephora. The upcoming H Mart will mark the chain’s first location in Fremont, adding to its expanding presence in Northern California.
