**Volvo Group to Open $38M Distribution Hub in Tacoma, Washington**

The Volvo Group has announced a $37.7 million investment to establish a new 115,000-square-foot Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Tacoma, Washington. The state-of-the-art facility is currently undergoing renovations and is projected to open in the first quarter of 2027.

Designed to serve as the primary distribution center for approximately 240 dealers, the new RDC aims to streamline order distribution and significantly reduce the company’s carbon footprint. By centralizing operations, Volvo expects to enhance efficiency and improve delivery reliability—particularly for dealers located in more remote areas of Western Canada.

“This facility represents a significant expansion to the Volvo Group’s parts distribution capabilities, allowing us to reduce transportation lead times and improve reliability,” said Peter Andell, Vice President of Service Market Logistics for Volvo Group North America.

Located at 7323 Valley Ave. E., the facility will support several of the Volvo Group’s brands. Its strategic location, near the Port of Tacoma and about 30 miles from the Port of Seattle, positions it well for efficient regional and international distribution.
