Gensler Names JJ Rivers Co-Managing Director of Washington, D.C. Office
Architecture and design firm Gensler has appointed JJ Rivers as the new Co-Managing Director of its Washington, D.C. office. He will serve alongside Kimberly Sullivan, who has co-led the office since 2024 with Francisco Gonzalez.
In April, Gonzalez will transition into his new role as Co-Regional Managing Principal of Gensler’s Southeast region. Based in Washington, D.C., Gonzalez will oversee the firm’s operations across several key cities including Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Miami, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Tampa, and D.C.
Rivers is a Principal at Gensler and an award-winning architect. His extensive portfolio includes mixed-use developments, sports and entertainment venues, large-scale master plans, and retail environments.
