**Microsoft Renews 396,000 Square Feet of Office Space at Redmond Town Center**

Microsoft has renewed its lease for 396,228 square feet of office space at Redmond Town Center, a prominent mixed-use development in downtown Redmond, Washington.

This renewed lease solidifies Microsoft’s long-term presence near its corporate headquarters, as the company prepares to implement a new, more stringent in-office attendance policy. Starting next month, employees in the Puget Sound area—as well as Microsoft workers based outside of Washington—will be expected to return to the office at least three days a week. This shift marks a notable change in the company’s post-pandemic workplace strategy.

Previously, Microsoft had been scaling back its office footprint in the region, shedding approximately 2.7 million square feet of space across the Eastside as part of an ongoing $5 billion redevelopment of its global headquarters in Redmond.

Despite the broader downsizing, Microsoft currently occupies four of the six buildings within the 582,375-square-foot office section of Redmond Town Center, anchoring a key commercial and community hub in the city.
