**Brand Street and Barings Acquire The Shops at Evergreen Walk for $98.25 Million**

Brand Street Properties and Barings have acquired The Shops at Evergreen Walk, a prominent open-air lifestyle shopping center located in South Windsor, Connecticut, just outside Hartford. According to the Hartford Business Journal, the joint venture purchased the property from PGIM for $98.25 million, although the buyers did not publicly disclose the seller or sale price.

Brand Street will continue to manage the property, a role it has held for the past five years. Paul Brandes, president of Brand Street Properties, emphasized the center’s long-standing value to the community.

“The Shops at Evergreen Walk has been a cornerstone of the South Windsor retail landscape for two decades,” said Brandes. “This acquisition allows us to build on the strong foundation established over the last 20 years while continuing to invest in best-in-class retailers, elevated experiences, and community-focused programming.”

In recent years, the shopping center has undergone strategic repositioning and has expanded its tenant mix. Notable additions include Whole Foods Market, Lululemon, Golf Lounge 18, J.Crew Factory, Gap Factory, Nike, and Bluemercury.

The acquisition reflects continued investor interest in well-performing retail centers, particularly those that successfully adapt to changing consumer trends and emphasize experiential offerings.
