Vulcan Investing $2M to Transform Birmingham Warehouse

Vulcan is investing up to $2 million to repurpose a 9,000-square-foot warehouse located at 409 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. S., which it acquired for $1.2 million in December 2022. Construction is scheduled to start later this year and be completed summer of 2024, with costs estimated between $1.8 and $2.4 million depending on the final plan based on tenant needs.

Jordan Weaver of Ironvest Partners, who is handling leasing for the project said: “We are just beginning our outreach efforts but we want to hear from local residents and people working nearby about what type of businesses they’d like to see here… We’re also engaging with potential tenants so that we can identify the redevelopment opportunity that best enables long-term success for both business and neighborhood.”
The space was previously used as a fabrication site by Creature before Vulcan’s acquisition in late 2022.. The new development will house one or more tenants upon completion next year..
