**Gaming Commission Grants Final Approval to Three NYC Casino Projects**
The New York State Gaming Commission has officially granted final approval for three casino projects in New York City—Bally’s Bronx, Resorts World New York City, and Metropolitan Park. This decision comes two weeks after the endorsement by the New York State Gaming Facility Location Board, paving the way for these developments to receive gaming licenses and begin construction.
As part of the approval conditions, each casino must appoint an independent monitor to provide regular reports to the commission. These reports will track progress and ensure all financial, legal, and community-related commitments are met by the operators.
Governor Kathy Hochul celebrated the approval, underscoring the positive impact the casinos are expected to have on the state. “The three approved casinos will generate billions of dollars for the MTA and education, create tens of thousands of jobs, and deliver real benefits to their surrounding communities,” she stated. “Each of the projects made significant commitments to their communities and to New York State, and the Gaming Commission was clear that they will hold these projects accountable and make sure they keep their promises. That is what New Yorkers expect and what they deserve.”
These developments are anticipated to bring substantial economic benefits and job opportunities, signaling a transformative phase for the state’s entertainment and tourism sectors.
