**Cannon Beach $200M Surf Resort to Break Ground in McKinney**

Cannon Beach, a $200 million surf and adventure resort, is set to officially break ground on December 15 in McKinney, Texas. Spanning 35 acres at the northeast corner of Stacy Road and S.H. 121, the ambitious project will feature a wide range of attractions including a three-acre surf lagoon, lazy river, mineral hot springs circuit, and a full-service resort hotel.

In addition to these signature water experiences, the development will offer diverse dining, entertainment, and business amenities. At the heart of the property will be a luxury resort-style hotel surrounded by event and wedding venues, a sandy beach, and cabanas with lounge areas serving food and beverages.

Guests can look forward to unique water attractions such as cliff diving zones and a stationary surf wave. The resort will also include land-based entertainment with a skateboard park, movie theater, bowling alley, health club, and indoor recreation facilities.

The first phase of Cannon Beach is expected to be completed and open to the public as early as mid-2027.

Economically, the project is poised to make a significant impact in the region. It is projected to create over 700 jobs, attract approximately 400,000 visitors annually, and generate more than $2 billion in economic activity over the next two decades.

The McKinney resort follows the recent successful launch of Cannon Beach’s first surf-focused development in Mesa, Arizona, further establishing the brand’s presence in the adventure and surf resort space.
