**NexPoint Unveils Redevelopment Plans for Dallas’ Cityplace Tower**
The $445 million transformation of Dallas’ iconic Cityplace Tower is gaining momentum, as developer NexPoint recently unveiled comprehensive plans for converting the 42-story tower into a dynamic mixed-use destination.
Originally acquired by NexPoint in 2018, the tower located at 2711 N. Haskell Avenue is now set to undergo a multi-phase redevelopment. The project includes the conversion of existing office space into a mix of residential units and hotel accommodations. Additionally, NexPoint will construct approximately 465 new apartment units across eight six-story buildings in the underdeveloped area surrounding the tower.
The redevelopment is planned in four phases, with the first phase focused on the residential component. NexPoint has already received financing proposals for this initial phase and expects to select a lender soon. Groundbreaking is anticipated within the next six to nine months.
The firm is also in the process of finalizing hotel partnership plans with Marriott, signaling its ambition to transform the area into a vibrant urban hub that blends living, lodging, and leisure.
This ambitious redevelopment marks a significant step forward in bolstering growth and revitalization in the Uptown-East Dallas area.
