Crescent Communities Sells Research Triangle Facility for $31.5M
Crescent Communities has sold Building H at THE YIELD Holly Springs — a premier life sciences and advanced manufacturing campus in North Carolina’s Research Triangle — to Ypsomed, a Swiss-based manufacturer of injection systems for the self-administration of liquid medications. The transaction closed for $31.5 million.
The 110,000-square-foot cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) facility will become Ypsomed’s first North American manufacturing site. According to the Triangle Business Journal, Ypsomed plans to invest an additional $250 million to customize the facility, targeting operational readiness by 2027.
THE YIELD Holly Springs represents Crescent’s flagship development in the life sciences and manufacturing sector. The campus offers up to two million square feet of mixed-use space spanning manufacturing, industrial, lab, office, and retail uses. It is strategically located alongside major industry players including FujiFilm Biotechnology, CSL Seqirus, Amgen, and Genentech.
Launched in 2023, THE YIELD is Crescent Communities’ dedicated life sciences division. In addition to THE YIELD Holly Springs, the division has also introduced THE YIELD North — an ±83-acre shovel-ready development adjacent to Genentech and Amgen, zoned specifically for innovative manufacturing uses.
