CBRE Facilitates Sale of 183,000-SF Sawyer Point Building in Downtown Cincinnati

CBRE has announced the successful sale of the Sawyer Point Building, a 182,700-square-foot office property located in downtown Cincinnati. The buyer, Matrix Holdings, LLC, acquired the building from Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company.

The transaction was brokered by CBRE’s Steve Timmel, CCIM, along with Will Roberts, John Eckert, and Travis Likes, who represented the seller. “The Sawyer Point Building was extremely well received by the investment market, generating an assortment of offers from regional and national investors,” noted Timmel.

Originally constructed in 1916, the four-story building at 720 E. Pete Rose Way was converted for office use in 2001, with renovations completed between 2020 and 2024. The property is situated within Cincinnati’s central business district office submarket.

Modern amenities at the building include a rooftop deck, two-story sky-lit atrium, fully furnished fitness center, conference center, electric vehicle charging stations, and a 100-stall underground parking garage. The location offers convenient access to Route 50 and Interstates 471 and 71, enhancing its appeal to tenants and investors alike.
