**Barnes & Noble Returns to Downtown Seattle with New Flagship at 520 Pike**
Barnes & Noble is making a much-anticipated return to downtown Seattle, announcing a new flagship store at 520 Pike Street. The store will be housed in a fully modernized, 29-story tower located in the heart of the city’s central business district.
The 10-year lease agreement marks the largest retail lease in downtown Seattle since 2020, signifying a strong vote of confidence in the area’s resurgence. The new location will occupy 17,538 square feet at the prominent corner of Pike Street and 6th Avenue.
Tishman Speyer, the property owner and developer, was represented in the transaction by Tiffini Connell, Avery Connell, and Madeline Stutz of West Coast Commercial Realty. Barnes & Noble was represented by Lee Guillory of Seattle Pacific Realty.
“Barnes & Noble’s return serves as a major vote of confidence and a huge momentum booster for downtown Seattle,” said Ryan Botjer, Senior Managing Director at Tishman Speyer.
Originally built in 1983 and extensively renovated in 2018, the 520 Pike tower offers 396,600 square feet of office space, convenient access to public transit, and proximity to major hotels, retail shopping, and entertainment venues.
