**Equinix Announces $836M Data Center Project in West Dallas**

Data-center developer Equinix has unveiled plans for an $836 million data center in west Dallas, expanding its footprint in the region with what will be its ninth data center in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The new four-story facility, named DA12, will encompass 372,517 square feet and will be located at 1550 W. Mockingbird Lane.

Construction on the DA12 facility is scheduled to begin in February 2026, with completion expected by October 2027.

In addition to the primary construction costs, an extra $293 million is earmarked for interior build-out, including fixtures such as doors, lighting, ceilings, and partitions on the first and second floors. This 158,293-square-foot interior project is projected to begin in September 2027 and wrap up in March 2028.

Equinix specializes in providing colocation services, offering companies the ability to lease data center space while Equinix manages critical infrastructure needs such as power, cooling, security, and network connectivity.
