**Schneider Electric to Relocate North American Headquarters to Boston’s Winthrop Center**
Global energy technology leader Schneider Electric announced Tuesday that it will establish its new North American headquarters at Millennium Partners’ Winthrop Center, located in Boston’s Financial District. The announcement was made during the company’s Innovation Summit North America, held in Las Vegas.
The move marks a significant expansion for Schneider Electric, which will more than triple its current office footprint. Relocating from One Boston Place, the company will occupy approximately 75,000 square feet across multiple floors at the new location, reinforcing its strong presence in the Boston area since 2014. The company plans to begin operations at Winthrop Center by mid-2026.
Winthrop Center holds the distinction of being the world’s largest Passive House-certified office building, recognized for its ultra-energy-efficient design. The new headquarters will also serve as Schneider Electric’s first U.S.-based Impact Building. It will showcase the company’s integrated digital systems, aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and overall operational performance.
While no brokers were named as part of the leasing deal, Charlie Jennings of CBRE currently manages office leasing at Winthrop Center.
