WilmerHale Renews Longtime Lease at 60 State Street in Boston
International law firm WilmerHale has reaffirmed its long-standing presence at 60 State Street, a 912,000-square-foot office tower in downtown Boston owned by Starwood REIT. The firm, which has been a tenant at the property since 1977, has signed a new long-term lease for 201,018 square feet across eight floors.
“This renewal underscores the long-term partnership of one of Boston’s most respected law firms with one of the country’s premier landlords,” said Roy Hirshland, chair of Savills brokerage and Boston market leader. “It demonstrates how the city’s leading office towers continue to draw and retain top-tier tenants, with WilmerHale’s continued presence at the property underscoring the firm’s deep Boston roots and the building’s lasting prestige.”
WilmerHale was represented in the lease negotiations by a Savills team that included Hirshland, vice chairmen Thomas Fulcher and Arthur Greenberg, executive managing director Ron Perry, and corporate managing director Matthew Perry. Representing Starwood REIT were JLL managing directors Dan Cavanaugh and Ryan Enright along with senior managing director Patrick Nugent.
The deal highlights continued tenant interest in premier downtown Boston office assets despite broader market shifts in commercial real estate.
