**Memorial Hermann Announces $282.5 Million Expansion at Katy Hospital**

Memorial Hermann Health System has committed to a $282.5 million expansion of its hospital located at 23900 Katy Freeway in Katy, Texas. The project will feature the construction of a new eight-story patient tower that will significantly enhance the hospital’s capacity and services.

Key additions in the expansion include new inpatient beds, advanced imaging services, and a rooftop helipad to support Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight air ambulance operations. Construction is slated to begin in late 2026.

In addition to the new tower, Memorial Hermann will be expanding several other areas throughout the hospital. These enhancements include updates to the pediatric emergency center, surgical services, women’s and children’s services, laboratory, pharmacy, and essential support departments such as the kitchen and cafeteria. This expansion comes on the heels of the hospital system’s recent introduction of a new Life Flight Airbus H145 helicopter, sponsored by ExxonMobil Corporation.

Memorial Hermann Katy is also nearing completion of an earlier phase of expansion. This phase will bring 100 additional patient beds, a third professional office building — which will house TIRR Memorial Hermann Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation-Katy — as well as an expanded emergency center and a new parking garage.
