**Davis Companies to Develop 289-Unit Multifamily Project in Medford, MA**
The Davis Companies has announced a strategic joint venture with an institutional investment partner to develop The Clayborn, a 289-unit multifamily residential project in Medford, Massachusetts. Situated on a 3.5-acre former industrial site, the development will be constructed in phases and built to Passive House standards, emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency.
The Clayborn will include a diverse mix of housing options, including studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as six townhomes. Located near key transportation corridors, employment centers, and retail destinations, the project is designed to meet the growing demand for housing in the Greater Boston area.
“This project will effectively transform an underutilized site into a thriving residential destination that addresses the region’s housing needs, contributes to Medford’s growth, and enhances infrastructure for both current and future neighborhood residents to enjoy,” said Pat Noone, Vice President of Development at The Davis Companies.
The project team includes Plumb House as general contractor, CUBE 3 as architect, Bohler as civil engineer, WSP as mechanical engineer, and H+O as structural engineer. Phase 1 of the development is expected to be delivered in August 2027, with full project completion anticipated by November 2027.
