**GAF Energy Relocates Headquarters and Operations to Georgetown, Texas**

GAF Energy, a leading manufacturer of solar roofing shingles, has announced the closure of its California plant and headquarters as it prepares to relocate all operations to Georgetown, Texas. The move consolidates the company’s operations—including manufacturing, research, development, and corporate headquarters—into a newly opened 450,000-square-foot facility.

According to the company, the strategic relocation is designed to bring operations closer to its core customer base. The Georgetown facility, located at 110 SE Inner Loop, first opened in 2023 and represents a $100 million investment. When operating at full capacity, the factory will be capable of producing enough solar roofing shingles to equip 50,000 homes annually.

The facility is also expected to bring significant job growth to the region, with at least 265 positions supported by the plant.

GAF Energy launched in 2019 as a subsidiary of Standard Industries and has positioned itself as a key competitor in the residential solar space, including against companies like Tesla. Its flagship product, Timberline Solar, features solar shingles that can be nailed onto rooftops like traditional shingles, making solar integration simpler for homeowners and installers alike.
