Selective Insurance Inks Headquarters Lease in Short Hills, NJ

Cushman & Wakefield has successfully negotiated a new long-term headquarters lease for Selective Insurance at 103 John F. Kennedy Parkway in Short Hills, New Jersey. The insurance group will lease 122,525 square feet at the property and is scheduled to begin occupancy in 2026.

The deal was facilitated by a Cushman & Wakefield team including David DeMatteis, Robert Rudin, Jan Randall, and Christina Magill, who represented Selective Insurance. On behalf of landlord Columbia Pacific Advisors, LLC, Timothy Greiner and Mike Pietrowicz of JLL handled the negotiations.

“We are pleased to have represented Selective Insurance Group, a long-term prominent New Jersey client, in securing this prime and significant office building in a sought-after location,” said DeMatteis.

The new headquarters is located within a key transportation hub, offering accessibility through major highways, airports, and public transit including rail and bus lines. The property is situated directly across from the Short Hills Mall and Eataly.

As part of the lease agreement, Columbia Pacific Advisors has pledged a comprehensive modernization of the property. Selective Insurance is collaborating with architecture and design firm Mancini Duffy to develop its new space.
