**Target Opening New Location in Stafford Near Major Retailers**
Target is set to open a new 125,000-square-foot store in the small city of Stafford, Texas, joining a growing lineup of major retailers including Costco Business Center and In-N-Out Burger. The city of approximately 17,000 residents, located just outside of Houston, continues to attract national brands as part of its expanding commercial landscape.
The new Target store will be located in The Grid, a 192-acre mixed-use development led by Edge Realty. The Grid occupies the former site of a Texas Instruments campus and is designed to be a vibrant hub combining retail, dining, office, and residential space.
The Stafford Target will feature a CVS Pharmacy, Target Optical, and a Starbucks café. It will also provide convenient drive-up and order pickup services for shoppers. The store is expected to employ approximately 130 people.
According to the Houston Business Journal, the opening of the Stafford location will bring Target’s total number of stores in Texas to 159. The retailer has plans to expand further, with at least five additional locations expected across the state. Among these is a new store in the upcoming Texas Heritage Marketplace in Katy, a $400 million mixed-use development. That store is projected to span approximately 148,000 square feet.
