**Berkadia Secures $26.8 Million HUD Financing for Washington State Assisted Living Facility**
Berkadia has successfully arranged $26.8 million in HUD 232/223(f) financing for an assisted living facility located in Washington state.
In September, Berkadia Seniors Housing & Healthcare team members—including Managing Directors Austin Sacco and Steve Muth, along with Senior Director Garrett Sacco—closed the loan on behalf of a repeat client. The sponsor, based in the Pacific Northwest, has been operating the community since 2017 and previously worked with Berkadia to secure a bridge loan.
This new HUD financing replaces the prior bridge loan, paying off existing bank debt and allowing the sponsor to capture equity accumulated through operational performance. The facility features more than 200 beds, and the refinancing reflects the sponsor’s continued commitment to long-term investment in senior housing.
